Therapy FAQ: Fees, Sessions, and What to Expect

Do You Have Questions About Starting Therapy?

Starting therapy often comes with practical questions. You may be wondering how sessions work, what to expect, or whether therapy is the right next step.

Below are answers to common questions about scheduling, fees, and the structure of therapy.

Do You Offer In-Person or Online Therapy?

provide online therapy for adults in New York City and throughout Florida.

Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, allowing you to attend from a private and comfortable space without the need to commute.

Online therapy is effective and makes it easier to stay consistent with treatment.

How Long Are Sessions?

Standard individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes.

This allows enough time to explore what you are experiencing, develop practical tools, and apply strategies in a structured and focused way.

How Often Will We Meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions.

Consistency is important, particularly when working with anxiety, OCD, or panic. As progress is made, sessions can be spaced out based on your needs and goals.

What Are Your Fees?

My fee is $150 per 45-minute session.

Payment is due at the time of service.

Therapy is an investment in your mental health, your relationships, and your overall quality of life.

Do You Accept Insurance?

I am a private pay provider and do not accept insurance.

Working outside of insurance allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and a more personalized approach to treatment, without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Late cancellations or missed sessions are subject to a $75 fee.

This policy supports consistency in care and protects the time reserved for each client.

How Do I Get Started?

You can begin by reaching out for a consultation.

During this initial conversation, we can discuss what you are experiencing, answer any questions, and determine whether we are a good fit.

There is no pressure to commit. It is simply an opportunity to explore your options.

What Can I Expect From Therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative and structured process.

Together, we will:

  • identify patterns that maintain anxiety or distress
  • develop practical, evidence-based tools
  • work toward meaningful, lasting change

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which are highly effective for anxiety, OCD, and panic.

What If I’m Not Sure Therapy Will Help?

It is completely normal to feel unsure.

Many people begin therapy feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or hesitant. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting.

Therapy provides a space to gain clarity, build skills, and move forward at your own pace.

Do You Work With OCD, Anxiety, and Panic Specifically?

Yes. I specialize in working with:

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Panic disorder

I also work with related concerns that often accompany these difficulties, including:

  • depression
  • overthinking and rumination
  • relationship and communication patterns
  • stress and life transitions

Treatment is tailored to your specific presentation and focuses on evidence-based approaches designed to create meaningful, lasting change.
